Screenkast

I just thought I’d share this nice, simple site to you that I found the other day.

It was created by a friend of mine, Greg Cooper, and displays screencasts about startups and desktop applications that ‘float his boat’.

Now you might be thinking, “oh god, more mediocre screencasts from noobs that haven’t a clue”.  Well you are more then wrong.

Screenkast is a great service to learn more about a website and/or product that you might be wanting to try out, or might be wanting to buy.

I feel that as this service gets larger, with more and more of a database of products and services to select from, it will gain a lot more popularity.

Screenkast uses a very simple and intuitive layout, that is easy to browse and navigate, and find the things that you are wishing to find.

The variety of products and services on screenkast range from short messaging

and event services such as Today I’m, Jaiku, and to desktop applications such as Spotify for listening to music.

The layout of the posts are extremely simple.

Screenkast incorporates it’s use of Vimeo, with it’s high quality and extensible player, which also adds to the “coolness” and “geekyness” of the page.

With the simplicity of the site, the wide range of ‘Screenkasts’ avaliable, is there really a reason not to check this site out?  Personally I don’t see one.   Lets hope that this site expands rapidly, and that we can continue to see ‘kasts’ added on a daily basis.

So why not go comment on your favorite service’s “Screenkast” today @ http://www.screenkast.com
