Phasing out IE6

We’re going to have to do it sometime.  Those users using it, need to get on their high horses and upgrade, c’mon, even older version of Firefox render better then IE6.

Someone told me this morning (and showed me) how Tweet O’Clock looked on IE6 because of transparent PNGs.

Yeah, it looked like crap.. so what do we do?  Do we spend more time designing and coding to make it look decent in IE6?

In my opinion, no.  IE6 needs phased out of the browser world, for at least the % of users it has now.

How can we phase it out, if we continue to cater to those users, what gives them the actual “urge” to switch/upgrade browsers?  Nothing.. because it works “fine” to them.

If you had a browser, that every page you went to looked like crap.. that would give you more of an urge to upgrade I would say, don’t you?

Just a thought.. quite catering to IE6 users.  That simple.
